Our stunning bride Rebecca married the love of her life Kristian at Fig House, Middleton Lodge, a private Georgian country estate near Richmond, North Yorkshire in December 2019.

THE WEDDING

Rebecca tells us more about her big day:

“Kris and I both wanted the day to feel as relaxed and informal as possible for everyone. Our idea was to embrace a wintery ‘Boho’ theme, so we chose loose, freeform florals, foliage, and candlelight. I knew I wanted the bridesmaids in a dark colour to suit the festive atmosphere and once we found a style that suited all the bridesmaids, the black colour theme emerged. We wanted the dining room to feel cosy and reflect the time of year.”

THE DRESS

Rebecca chose her perfect gown from our Justin Alexander and Lilian West collection.

“I tried on so many different styles of wedding dress, although deep down I think I knew I wanted a romantic ‘Boho’ style dress that my guests wouldn’t be expecting. So I chose a fitted full-length nude gown by Lillian West, with ivory all over unique lace pattern, jewel neckline, keyhole back and chapel length train with scalloped lace hem. My dress was gorgeous and I felt amazing wearing it, definitely wish I could wear it again!

I found dress shopping really strange, to begin with I felt underwhelmed and overwhelmed both at the same time. There were so many dresses to choose from and so many boutiques to visit. I had no idea what style would suit me and I felt as if I should have a big princess dress because that was the traditional ‘done’ thing. Having tried on so many ball gown style dresses I knew this wasn’t right for me. Coming to the Harrogate Wedding Lounge, Allyson put me at ease right away and once I tried on ‘The Dress’ I was so emotional. I felt amazing in it and it didn’t even fit properly! Having found the dress really helped me imagine what the day was going to be like. It was very exciting.”
