THE WEDDING

Catherine tells us more about her big day:

“The floor to ceiling windows across the walled garden added a fantastic warm winter feel to the wedding. With only 9 months from engagement to wedding, we were so lucky to get 14th February as a date! As the groom is a farmer we wanted a venue in the countryside and with a modern relaxed ambience.

The colour scheme for the flowers was a mix of romantic pinks and purples. This flowed through into every other aspect of the day. I chose bridesmaid dresses in English Rose from Dessy and the Groomsmen tie’s and pocket squares were a colour match. As I set a mood board very early on we were able to tie in the guest invites to the same colour scheme.“

THE DRESS

Catherine picked Maren, a Maggie Sottero bridal gown, from our collection.

“I came across HWL as I was searching for a boutique which offered Maggie Sottero gowns. I am so incredibly pleased I booked an appointment. Prior to visiting the HWL I had already tried over 10 dresses on and had an idea of what I liked. Rather than diving straight into the rails of gowns and not knowing where to start Leanne sat us down with a glass of bubbles to understand my preferences. She really showed care and patience when getting me in and out of the dresses, and I felt 100% at ease.

I know many brides-to-be will be anxious about dress shopping and have already recommended the boutique to a friend who felt this way – she walked out with ‘the dress’ too”
